MoodPrep ("we," "our," or "us") values your trust. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use MoodPrep (the "Service"), available at moodprep.com. By accessing or using the Service, you agree to this Privacy Policy.

When you use MoodPrep, we collect the following types of information:

A. Account & Profile Information

When you create or update your account, we collect:

  • First & Last Name – Required and publicly displayed alongside your recipes and recipe books. You may choose a display name instead of your legal name.
  • Username – Required and publicly displayed.
  • Profile Image – Optional; if uploaded, it is publicly displayed.
  • Bio – Optional; if provided, it is publicly displayed.
  • Email Address – Required for login, Stripe billing, and communication; never public.
  • Password – Required, encrypted, and never public.
  • Country – Collected for compliance and localization; not public.
  • Last Sign-In Date – Collected for system use only; not public.

B. Content You Generate

  • Recipes – All recipes generated through MoodPrep are public by default and permanently visible, with attribution provided to the creator where appropriate.
  • Recipe Books – Public by default and tied to your profile (showing First & Last Name, Username, Profile Image, and Bio) with proper attribution displayed. You may set recipe books to private, but they will remain stored by us even if your account is deleted.

C. Payment Information

We use Stripe for payment processing. Stripe may collect your billing details (e.g., name, card number, billing address). Payment information is handled exclusively by Stripe and never stored on MoodPrep servers.

D. Technical Information

We automatically collect:

  • Device and browser information
  • IP address
  • Usage data (such as pages visited, actions taken, error logs)
  • Cookies and similar technologies to maintain sessions and improve user experience

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to:

  • Provide and operate the Service (including recipe generation, saving, and sharing)
  • Display your public profile (First & Last Name, Username, Profile Image, Bio) with your recipe books
  • Process payments, subscriptions, or credit purchases via Stripe
  • Reset credits at the start of each billing period or upon one-time purchases
  • Improve the Service through analytics and feedback
  • Send service-related communications (account updates, billing alerts, technical issues)
  • Enforce our Terms and Conditions

3. Public Content & Permanence

Recipes

All recipes are public by default and permanently tied to your public profile (First & Last Name, Username, Profile Image, and Bio). They remain visible indefinitely and cannot be deleted, even if your account is removed.

Recipe Books

Public by default and tied to your public profile. They may be set to private, but remain stored by MoodPrep even after account deletion.

Profile Data

First & Last Name, Username, Profile Image, and Bio are always public and appear alongside your recipes and recipe books.

By creating recipes or recipe books, you grant MoodPrep a perpetual, irrevocable, worldwide license to use, display, reproduce, and repurpose this content in any medium, without compensation or attribution.

4. Generative AI Disclaimer

MoodPrep uses generative AI to create both recipes and recipe images.

  • Generated content may contain errors, inaccuracies, or unrealistic outputs.
  • Recipes may not always be nutritionally accurate, safe, or complete.
  • Images may not perfectly match the generated recipe.

You acknowledge that generated content is experimental, and you use it at your own discretion and risk.

5. Liability Disclaimer

By using MoodPrep, you agree that:

  • All recipes are for informational and entertainment purposes only.
  • Cooking or consuming recipes generated on MoodPrep is done at your own risk.
  • MoodPrep and its affiliates are not liable for any harm, injury, allergic reaction, foodborne illness, property damage, or death resulting from the use of generated recipes.
  • You assume full responsibility when preparing or consuming any recipe found on MoodPrep.

6. Data Retention

  • Account information is retained until you request deletion.
  • Recipes remain permanently visible and cannot be removed once generated.
  • Recipe books remain stored by MoodPrep even after account deletion (though private recipe books will not be displayed publicly).
  • Payment and billing records are retained as required by law.

7. Your Choices

  • Profile Settings: You may update your First & Last Name, Username, Profile Image, Bio, and country. Keep in mind that these fields are public unless stated otherwise.
  • Recipe Books: You may change visibility from public to private.
  • Account Deletion: You may request account deletion by emailing hello@moodprep.com. While your account will be deleted, recipes will remain public and recipe books will remain stored.

8. Security

We use industry-standard security practices to protect your data, including:

  • Encrypted storage of passwords
  • TLS encryption for data in transit
  • Stripe-hosted checkout for payment security
  • Webhook verification for subscription and credit management

Despite these measures, no online system is 100% secure. You use MoodPrep at your own risk.

9. Children's Privacy

MoodPrep is not directed to individuals under 13. If we become aware that a child under 13 has created an account, we will delete it.

10. International Users

MoodPrep operates globally, and your data may be processed outside of your home country. By using the Service, you consent to such transfers.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised "Last Updated" date.
